PRISON BREAK: After last week's god awful return I wasn't really expecting much to be honest and it didn't give me much to expect... but instead of creating the last few episodes to be a powerful and triumphant end we just have the same palava is before with characters doing nothing... not only have they planned the 'family card' twist...if it can be so called it also turns out Sara's pregnant too...maybe with Krantz' love child :O
but honestly it just seems like they're hitting every cliche they can before the end, it's not clever, or shocking or even interesting anymore between the half an hour conversation of "WHAT" Scylla is and how it works etc just bored me to tears it was better when it was the company's 'black book' and not just an 'eco-friendly' opportunity...
it's boring. As usual they had t-bag spouting some stupid shit again this week, this time about elephants to the Indian embassy as a distraction only to have a bunch of US agents take him away in a van, beat him up and kindly give him a ride home.
Best line of the episode: "You could end up in PRISON buddy?!!!" "....which one?"
Mahone gunned some company fools down and that was about it.
Self never brought anything to the table at all...
Christina was as annoying as before as well as her ass-lick lackey who WELL wants to be Rob Lowe.
I just wish they'd get this dull and pointless Scylla crap over with then follows death of Christina by Krantz, T-Bag betrays the guys (who didn't see that coming?) and kills Self, Sucre comes back and kills T-Bag (as T-Bag tries to kill Lincoln) and Mahone lives happily ever after.
THE END.
Prison Break you let me down this week again.
In the world of OTHER TV.
Lost is back on Thursday! And so is Daniel, So I ASSUME... It's a DANIEL EPISODE! Maybe we'll find out where he's been since he fucked off during Dharma Days and since THE CONSTANT with Desmond and Daniel was one of the best in Season 4 i really hope that next week's THE VARIABLE does justice as well!! But whether or not it comes close to Dead Is Dead we'll see ;) Who knows maybe we'll get luckily and Illana Iguana will die that's what you get when you stand IN THE SHADOW OF THE STATUE :D Just a wee realisation that this episode will be the 100th episode of LOST. So maybe something MAJOR could happen cause of this... but I doubt it.
Eitherway - Thursday = episode 5x14: THE VARIABLE which means next week is 5x15: FOLLOW THE LEADER (rumoured to be a Richard ep) but who knows. And then the week after (May 13th) is the double episode finale; THE INCIDENT. Which I think is when we'll see the 'PURGING' of Dharma land by Ben junior and ALLL (most of) the dharma folk die as well as some finale style twists and no doubt a bitch of a cliffhanger that will leave me bitching about it right here, until it comes back NEXT FEBRUARY....groan.
In more groans...South Park is half-over until OCTOBER (ANOTHER 6 month wait!) though I have to say I have been fairly satisfied with the season so far!! Fishsticks probably being my favourite and the latest Fatbeard being a close 2nd and while Pinewood Derby wasn't everything I was hoping for it still made me laugh and there was no GENUINELY unfunny episodes like the Britney episode or Lice Capades which really missed the mark for me but yeah I'd say an improvement over last season already! See you again in October, South Park.
Family Guy - Season 7 will only have 16 episodes (which actually is an improvement over the 12 in Season 6) but this means its drawing to a close (4 episodes left)
As follows:
7x13 - Stew-Roids
Stewie starts going to the gym with Peter after he gets beaten up by Joe's baby daughter Susie, but just when it seems that his hard work is paying off, Peter reveals that he's been giving him an anabolic steroid. Meanwhile, Chris begins dating a popular girl at school, only to see her popularity subside.
(Sounds HILLARIOUS right from the get-go, I just hope that the Chris subplot doesn't get in the way and is strong enough from not letting the episode down like it kinda did in the Long John Peter episode)
7x14 - We Love You Conrad
After drowning his sorrows when he learns his ex-girlfriend Jillian is getting married, Brian discovers that he has hooked up with The Hills star Lauren Conrad. Brian wants out of the relationship until he realizes that Conrad may be the perfect match for him, if only he is willing to let Jillian go.
(HAHA I love Jillian, and Drew Barrymore in FG so I hope this sees a return of her more often again)
7x15 - Peter's Progress
Peter learns from a psychic through a palm reading that he had a fascinating past life as Griffin Peterson, a dignified gentleman who vied for the love of Lady Redbush from 17th century England, ruled by the fierce King Stewart, to the newly founded American colony of Quahog.
(FGs fairytale episodes are always brilliant from the Fan Mail ep to the Family History and Star Wars ep all of them are sheer classics so I'm sure this one will go down just as well!)
7x16 - Three Kings
Peter imagines his friends and family in three of Stephen King's most famous works.
Stand by Me parody - Twelve-year old Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe travel along a railroad track on a journey of self-discovery.
Misery parody - Brian is injured in a bad car crash only to be "rescued" by his "number one fan," Stewie.
The Shawshank Redemption parody - Cleveland and Peter become fast friends in prison.
(Season finale! I have been DYING for this episode for so long now and a Shawshank parody sounds just perfect to me, I love Stephen King and I love Family Guy so I'm sure the mesh will be superb! *Bit disappointed with the 'Stand By Me' though - purely cause I hadnt seen it let alone HEARD about it until now but hey, if it brings the laughs I dont care!)
And that's it for SEASON 7 and family guy until OCTOBER (More and more it seems like October is the month of the year this year!) I think this season has just been fantastic and kicked the absolute crap out of last season for sure!
Here's a wee taster of things to expect in SEASON 8
FG: Empire (Something, Something, Darkside) is set to be the season opener
Cleveland FINALLY leaves (gets his own show) and is REPLACED by a brand new friend ("Jerome"??)
Stewie and Brian have an episode, shut in a room without any cut-aways, flashbacks or props.
Lois will have an abortion.
James Woods will be back for the THIRD time.
Meg explores her sexuality.
Chris and The Evil Monkey will have a based episode.
Lois steals one of Meg's boyfriends
HERE IS A LIST OF WRITTEN SCRIPT TITLES - THOUGH SO FAR THE ONLY SET/CONFIRMED EPISODE IS 'Empire':
7ACX01 "Family Goy"[12]
7ACX02 "Brian's Got a Brand New Bag"[13]
7ACX03 "Ode to '85"[14]
7ACX04 "Quagmire's Baby"[15]

YOU'RE WELCOME!

gimmie a break...
Well after 4 LONG months PRISON BREAK finally returned. And since now it only has 6 REAL TV episodes left (excluding the '2 bonus episodes' and 'THE FINAL BREAK' hour-long future episode planned for DVD release in July) After that, as far as the world, plot and characters of PRISON BREAK is concerned it's done dinner... So you'd THINK or at least I thunk that with this curtain call and more than enough time to ponder, plan and film 'HOW IT'S ALL GOING TO END' they'd have some impetus or drive or inspiration or SOMETHING to make their (season 1, season 2 and EVEN mostly season 3) great. Perhaps its just my way of being but my expectations completely fell short of anything because instead of giving STARVED obsessed and distraught prison break fans a refreshing shot of visual adrenaline (PB STYLE!) we were treated to the same old, same old stale pandering around "10 guys in a room with fuck all tdo" scenario...a glossy new opening scene...some flashy camera-work and even flashier shirts but as far as REAL MEAT on the table, it was bare bones.
Hadn't we ALREADY established 4 MONTHS AGO through that 'gripping' cliffhanger, that the buyer and company agent was ACTUALLY Lincoln's mother!?!
Although it seemed like NONE of the guys seemed to grasp this at all spending half an hour gawking at a computer and each other saying "REALLY?!" (As if they, like us, couldn't believe the writer's would chose such an obvious, tiresome cliche route either...but there we have it.
So half of the episode was spent trying to make 'mom' look as viciously mob-boss as possible while still retaining some sort of motherly charm...the result being...an annoying mess. Where's Angela Petrelli when you want her to sit and look cold..yet caring.
The other half I dont even know...ONCE AGAIN the writer's felt they needed to GIVE MEANING to the other characters (which they did) but in doing so...well, what a mess...
I guess they thought T-BAG needed ANOTHER reason to keep going (originally at the start of season 4 it was pure vengeance, a vendetta against michael - which was plausible as well as pleasing) next they felt they totally wanted to RE-INVENT T-Bag turning him from a cold-blooded paedophile with speckles of remorse to a fully-pledged, good guy, a respectable business man...Cole Pfierer(sp?) LOL although that was completely ditched too...and then Lincoln took out some of his teeth remember?!...but that was all done and forgot about by next week. Well since Michael's mother has been introduced why not... T-BAG'S MOTHER!! (WHY NOT?!) turns out she's alive (even though their had been no mention of her AT ALL until right now, 6 episodes before the end) she's safe and sound in an old folks mental home...OR NOT (woah, twist) the general has APPARENTLY taken her, LJ, Pam(?) and that photo of Self's we see ocassionally (but dont really care about) as an insurance policy but more than that a pathetic reason for the writers to justify their hanging around til end time.
So what really happened? Not a lot.
The general got double-crossed and then "died" but obviously didnt before they later made it obvious that he didnt...hooray, oh yeah an unknown, unimportant agent lackey shot Michael's car window mid-sentence (tenner's bet we'll never see him again) that was about as exciting as it got for them, as they spent the rest of the episode seeking refuge in a van...talking about various MOM shit before an unconvincing agent 'i smell an extra' who i will dub as 'MEAN GUY' shows up, "SHOCKINGLY" killing the driving and trying to take the van back to COMPANY HQ...the racing drama that follows consists of Michael and Sara trying to wedge a van door open....yass....
The other guys raid a mosque or pray area or somethin which just totally seemed like US writers tryin to take an untasteful jab at muslims to me...usually T-Bag's quips are quirky, sly, cheeky racist remarks but the whole chicken blood thing just went a bit too far...especially since mahone even got in on it too LOL.
Anyway they force their way in and guns are found and a firefight ensues with T-Bag...finally scoring the only good line of the episode when the muslim takes out a gun and he retorts "NOW THAT'S NOT VERY HEAVENLY IS IT?" ...10 mins left and it was the first thing to make me smile.
Oh yeah and Lincoln meets up with mom-boss instead of confrontational family reunion theres some petty back and forth...lincoln goes along with what she says but in the end tries to go back and ends up with a sniper at his head...END
will he die next week?
No - I'd say not.
Instead of a welcome back thrill-ride I gots not a lot
It's hard to say I'm impressed when theres so little to be impressed by, it's heartbreaking.
Sorry for the bitch and moan about Prison Break
I'll gladly stop when it promises too.
More general less MOM please oh and as a wild-stab in the dark guess SELF is STILL working with the company I CAN FEEL IT because "that guy ran away" bullshit a mile of
he's a snake and a liar
KILL HIM, KILL HIM
THAT IS ALL.

...A LONG DESERVED UPDATE
Jesus! It's near been a month...kind of - since my last blog or at least it feels it so I feel I owe it at least to myself to give a total update. I guess I've just been kind of put-off for some reason after my distaste for things that have been going on but here's the script
BLACK SABBATH'S (No one mention H&H) first album in 17 years leaked finally and my initial reaction was probably a bit over the top after almost giving up on life all together after the first track didnt completely grab me LOL but I'm giving it a full whack on atm and blaring it with pride... I guess my problem was it just wasnt anything new in any sense of the word but hey, it's still Sabbath as I know and love them.
It marches proudly with pounding drums, moody bass and ripping swagger. On top of that Dio's rich and passionate vocal delivery comes across with a brilliant maleficence untouched by anyone. Sure... it's probably a bit self-indulgent - that was probably always true with these guys, and while for me it's definitely no HEAVEN AND HELL it in no way is the abomination that shite magnetic was or as drab as a lot of the tracks on Black Ice, it contains all the ingredients that you'd want or expect from them. No doubt within a couple of days I'll be ranting and raving about what an idiot I was and how this album is the best thing since .mp3 format sliced bread.
Maiden finally 'officially' announced the DVD/CD release of FLIGHT 666 a double dvd and double live album too! On blu-ray, digital download, vinyl, dvd, cd and book format they really have all bases covered for this cash cow this time around ;)
But needless to say I've just spent £36 on the 2cd live album and double dvd + 30pg book set.
And if you think THAT's fanboy I also couldve gone for the QUOTE limited edition double picture disc and digital download set which is LAVISHLY package btw ;) but no :P I'll just take the DVDs and CDs please and the book might make for nice readin :)
And I also bought a cool flight 666 tee too off play.com for £13 which comes out april 30th. I wanted a new tee so this fits the bill quite nicely:
NEW T-SHIRT
I thought it was pretty cool!! at least better than the DVD cover....
HERE
Which is basically just the promo shot for the cinema release... pretty lazily I was hoping for a brand NEW eddie geared up in a pilot uniform while bruce is serving the coffees LOL ;) *sigh* in a perfect world
speaking of a perfect world, in a perfect world someone will save heroes from sinking into a piss pot of teen drama...what once was a COOL show, with a smart plotline and enjoyable characters has turned into 'make it up as we go along' shite... the characters now all conviently appear and disappear whenever and wherever suits. the script is TERRIBLE, the face-time totally unbalanced and all-in-all just a pretty sad affair...Since it came back after the mid-season break its just got worse and worse! Though I do like the idea of Sylar schmoozin' about as Nathan though how many times has that been done in EVERYTHING?
The appeal of this show is at an all-time low as far as I'm concerned and after seeing Jack Coleman (Noah Bennet) on BBC's 'This Morning' show and my heart literally crumbling along with what little respect I had for Heroes... they should just give Hayden her own spin-off show now and just let Heroes rest in peace - it's done.
LOST! However, just gets better than better with that Dead Is Dead episode I could NOT have been happier! It gave me EVERYTHING I wanted from the show. And although it was a BEN episode, it was clear that LOCKE was the man in control ;) from last time's smug 'Welcome back to the land of the living' to him comfortably sprawling in ben's chair, and the sheer TERROR on ben's face throughout. It was brilliant. We also got some more of WIDMORE past which I'd been hounding for since ep 3. LOL especially with his HEROIC ON HORSE entrance, it was totally unnecessary brilliance... as well as them planting the seeds of hate between Ben/Widmore "I'll be seeing you BOY!" Hahaha, I'd like to see just exactly how/why/when Widmore got banished from the island because doesn't Ben/Richard leave the island fairly often?? to recruit Juliette etc etc, I wonder what JACOB thinks of that!
This week is set to be a "funny" episode with Miles/Hurley but hopefully not a filler...somethin major HAS to happen cause I've said it before and I'll say it again LOST really has no TIME for filler eps and after that Kate ep which I've talked about before in a previous blog I really hope this isnt a full episode of Hurley and Miles sitting round a table playing hungry, hungry hippos or some shit...ignoring the reference between hungry...hippo...and hurley LOL.
But I guess we'll find out IN A FEW HOURS.
Well, Miles' gets his backstory a SEASON overdue ;) I reckon it could've happened in the episode where Rosseau and Alex dies but I guess that wouldve taken away from the DRAMA. Anyway - after a shaky start with some terrible acting from an asian woman (who I recognise but cant quite place...) doesnt matter but cause she dies anyway JUST like THAT woman in the desmond episode if you remember ;). BUT WHY?!
Some cool electro-magnesia death by filling LOL of(Alfrenzo(?)) as well as the building of THE ORCHID which was pretty sweet!
We get a lesson about life from Hurley as he tries to re-write Empire. LOL, freaky new guy "Bram"?? talkin about THE SHADOW OF THE STATUE again and CHOOSING SIDES. Talk about a build-up for season 6 BRING ON BEN VS WIDMORE!!
Elizabeth Mitchell is as beautiful as always if only for a brief moment it was the best scene of the ep ;) oh and Kate gets put in her place by Ben's dad who has some serious issues.
Sneaky Phil finally gets his commence and hopefully more on that in THE VARIABLE with DANIEL!!! Who makes his triumphant return after his nervous breakdown and disappearence all in all hardly the most MIND-BLOWING, MEMORABLE episode but I laughed and I smiled and I fairly enjoyed it more so than an hour of KATE.
But sadly there will be NO, NONE, NONE LOST NEXT WEEK cause it's taking a week off, there WILL be a lost special, I dunno WHAT that entails whether it's a recap of this season thus far or what... but it's called OCEANIAC 6 and its narrated by MICHAEL "BIG BEN" EMERSON so if boredom severely strikes you COULD give that a gander... BUT TO RETORT THERE WILL BE NO LOST EPISODE NEXT WEEK. Although, I think SP is still on-schedule...and sadly it will be EP 7 which marks the MID-SEASON FINALE...meaning that there will be NO new episodes of SP until *groan*...OCTOBER I think... so let's hope it's a good un!
