Less than a month now til Lamb Of God's WRATH graces my graces and I have to say, once again after reading a review in Rolling Stone once again highlighting the sheer magnitude of closing track 'Reclamation' described as an apocalyptic epic. There's also some funny quotes from the band with Chris Adler highlighting once again how much of a douche he is with his obsession of creating the fastest metal songs around but what he doesnt seem to realise is its not speed you need, it's substence and coming up with 13, 3 minute tracks of charging fills, battering through, doesnt really make a good album just makes a montonious mess. With the crowds all hopped up on adreniline and throwing each other around without really appreciating the music you produce.
But whatever, I'm sure they'll be something on there worth listening too even if the rest is typical and lustreless.
After that bitch and moan it takes me nicely onto my review of this weeks episode of Lost. A desmond episode! Desmond being one of my favourites of the cast; the Scottish seer of visions I couldn't wait!!
However, I couldn't help but feel his performance and overall story in general was stale and frankly irritating as it detracted from the main excitement and drama happening on the island. His script was piss-poor and cheesy "the island...of Great Britain" and then on his travels in Oxford (an EXTREMELY unconvincing portrayal of England) where the accents are all an over-the-top exaggerated cockney whine and the streets are paved with glistening-new cars. Alongside his ridiclous 60s getup for some reason his screen-time was hillariously pathetic and disappointing. Best scene: Confrontation with Widmore.
More focus should have definitely being made on the goings-on of the island and the BOMB that's appeared which could have been more gripping to say the least...a little leak...scary. Blondey mouth-no-move should've died, a bitch fight between her and Juliet or something wouldve spiced things up some. Sawyer says his usual piece "son of a bitch" but you can't help but smile. Locke brings his A-Game and is coy and self-satisfied as always. Brilliant. Daniel has become a lot more likeable as of recent, though his calm and collectiveness and love stint with the less than enjoyable Charlotte I can do without. Miles once again has his little 'I feel dead people' freakout in the jungle, which is becoming more of an annoying feature' than bringing anything exciting or important to the table, I don't think he'll be around much longer though hopefully with his one sarcastic line of the episode.
Shocker of the episode: CHARLES FUCKIN WIDMORE thats right the annoying runt of the episode, clutching a gun and being a cunt turns out its ARCH-I-BALD NEMISIS CHARLES FUCKIN WIDMORE 50 YEARS IN THE PAST. And he's a neck-snappin SOB. Loved it. Nice link-up with Richard and Locke too referring back to the other episodes where Richard visits Locke as a baby/boy which were really cool. Haha the scene with Locke in the Others camp where he's got a huge rifle slung over his shoulder was just genius.
The ending, excluding the 'fairytale' happy endings of earlier seasons was probably one of the worst cliffhangers yet, what with the constant dialogue of Charlotte feeling 'strange' and head-achy etc and the nosebleed previous episode ala prison break style where they dragged his illness out for 8 episodes. So it wasn't too surprising when Charlotte drops to the ground convulsing and bleeding and shit.. I cant help but think it'd been so much more effective and grabbing if they'd just done it out of the blue instead of trying to build it up...
I really missed Ben Linus this time around too and I hope for his return in next weeks episode. I think the fact they're trying to run two major concepts: island time travelling/oceanic six return to island, at the same time is really removing the momentum of whats happening, what happened last week etc. Hopefully they mesh or collide or something happens to fix it.
I need more fast-paced flowing story and excitement cause it turned out this bomb episode was a bit of a dud.

UPDATE: OI OI OI?
I know this is my 2nd update today but I'm SORELY tempted to return to the Aussie Floyd show after this quote on the SECC website which reads:
For the first time in over 25 Years, Pink Floyd's legendary rock opera "THE WALL" live in concert and in its entirety performed by The Australian Pink Floyd Show. The show comes to the SECC on 1st May 09.
Now The Wall Live is DEFINITELY one of my favourite live albums and for me just brings a great album to amazing heights the music sounds fresher with extended jams and louder atmosphere with a bigger bang and it definitely appeals to the enthuist (real word?) within me.
To see this album in full really would be a dream come true for me, tracks like the explosive One Of My Turns and In The Flesh (NOT In The Flesh?) which it seems tribute bands hinder from playing because of it's "rascist" connotations or whatever but I think this would be well worth the £30 pricetag and could very well be a audible fuck you to Sir Jimmy Carr whose material I've found becoming tiresome and so repeated the thought of smartie tubes on cat's legs for the seventh million time makes me want to bullet my head in.
Discussions will need to be having had with Sir Al Of Brown (hmm...thats really not very as flattering as I intended it to be!) and a word in Jonny "Hail the" Queen might be needed also.
I'm generally quivering at the thought!
OVER THE RAAAAINBOW I AM CRAAAAAAZY!
When the light is green-ned orders will be maybe placed.
Update 3 COMING SOON.

there's nothing better than...
Stepping into a roasty toasty caravan when it's so chilly baltic outside! Well, what's been happening this morning? Got me an email from my uncle saying he'd managed to sell my spare AC/DC ticket for a very respectable £109 at only a loss of £15 out of £124 that's not bad at all! So I'm quite happy with regards to that!
Feelin a bit better today after an early kip and forcing down a smidgeon of Spag Bol last night, means early rise though so I think I'm destined for a wee bit of Crash Bandicoot to pass the day today. Fabled postie didn't grace my doorstep yesterday and so STILL no floyd, got an email from play.com to say that some of my E6 albums had been posted so look forward to gettin my grubby mits on them and having a wee bit of...DANCE EPIDEMIC TONIGHT!
Read a "review" by Metal Hammer, a track-by-track analysis of Lamb Of God's WRATH which basically confirms in my mind that'll it'll be a thundering, chundering piece of metal, says it's singer Randy Blythe's finest vocal performance yet but with the two tracks i've heard most of the vocals are drowned under a sea of distortion with only lyrics like "GUARAN-FUCKIN-TEED" being heard, and other lines which I feel could've been written with more skill by a chimp, but the metal is mightier than the pen...what we need is a metal pen. I'll try my best to keep any reservations I might have on the down-low until I've heard the thing in full but it's hard to fight my cynasism while feeling so uninspired.
Iron Maiden have released a trailer for their new documentary entitled: IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666! (YESSSS SATAN!) Due to the fact that Maiden have heralded their own auto-ma-plane and taken to the skies to fly around the world and bring heavy metal to the far corners! It's pretty cool to see far-flung countries like India and such rocking out with such passion and love for Maiden's music as I myself have. Clip showed a group with a banner sporting: IRON MAIDEN IS MY RELIGION and while I probably wouldn't go that far anymore can't help but smile. So originally I thought this documentary would be part of an Iron Maiden: Somewhere Back On Tour fullscale DVD package with concerts and such, with the documentary being a major piece but alongside a full gig's worth of songs taken from place to place on the tour but it turns out this documentary is gunna be a worldwide cinema release in April 09. Now as much as I myself love the idea of going to watch the behind the scenes antics and goings-on of my favourite band on the big screen I really can't help but wonder who else would... I mean aside from Maiden fans, the diehards and maybe some of the casual listeners but it's kinda hard to imagine your average Joe Bloggs and his Mrs in the cinema:
Joe: "right honey, there's a new Adam Sandler comedy, chick flick with Renee Zwelelgflger, Russel Crowe's in something or we can go see IRON MAIDEN'S documentary about the 8 month world tour theyve been on, flying about in a plane and playing to millions around the world!"
Mrs: "Iron What?"
Joe: IRON FUCKING MAIDEN THAT'S WHAT!
But seriously? After the success *cough* of Bruce's film venture that was in the classy Motherwell cinema for a staggering one week only and I managed to miss..."Unfortunately" Which turned out to be some stodgy b-movie full to the brim with english humour: "Do you know what's REALLY, REALLY funny?" "A man in women's clothing", "Yes, Quite." I think I'dve enjoyed the soundtrack the most (50s tunes dabbled in amongst a couplve Maiden and Bruce tunes) I fail to see how Maiden/EMI expect their work to compete amongst Hollywood movies which people go to the cinema to see...or maybe they dont, maybe they're just putting it out on the big screen purely for the Maiden fans far and wide can go and enjoy the life and times of the band in their local cinema and if that indeed is the case then I applaud them! Though I don't think it's the most profitable idea for Mr. Manager Rod Smallwallet but I'll definitely go and see it and most probably buy it on DVD. Check out the youtube trailer on It gave me a few grins - APRIL 09 FOLKS! Come with.
Right...I've had this Megadeth song stuck in my head for months now, well at least I think it's Megadeth and it has a big meaty breakdown in it before sweeping into a whirlwind solo that's so tasty I could drink it down with pleasure but I've yet to find it! So in my attempt to fix this I'm gunna sit and listen to every Megadeth song until I find it and my soul can rest, I'm halfway through their Youthanasia album and still no avail! So that's how I intend to spend my day! Wish me luck.
P.S. Postman better come bearing gifts today or I'll be gettin G'Pa with his trusty shotgun and make him eat lead HA HA HA!
Have a good one guys.
P.P.S. Lost tonight! I have a major lust to do a 4am situp and catch it as it comes then stay and watch it in the early hours
We'll see how I feel, Cheers!

GOOOOD MORNING VIETNAM!
Having a grand banquet consisting of one roll and tuna for my dinner last night, I'm still feeling a bit ropey...lots of phlegm and gunk, lovely stuff like that. I have a large 2l bottle of Red Kola at my bed on standby to counterattack my throat and it's cleverly positioned over the vent in the floor which keeps it nice and chilled... who needs fridges anyway?
Went on a mad spending spree again last night coming to a nasty total of £70 but I did buy all of Electric Six's albums (all 5) a did go a bit overboard with their debut Fire which I ended up paying a grizzly ...£30... on but, but, but thats only because of the snidey japanese and their bonus tracks which in all fairness I wouldn't be able to get legally any other way! So I'm really doing right by the music industry and getting all my shit in line! And that's a good thing! So, encouragement all the way!
My floyd boxset STILL hasnt arrived, I'm waiting with hopeful hands this morning and Mr. Postman's due around midday so we'll just wait and see. I sent then a grinful email the other day after they requested I leave them some positive feedback about their service in which I basically said:
Dear Mr. Company,
Since I still have not yet recieved my order for Pink Floyd's boxset which I ordered before Christmas any feedback I would leave at this moment would be against your favour it is therefore my descision to wait for my product to arrive in well and good condition as agreed upon before leaving any feedback.
Cheers.
haha quite good I thought! They emailed me back promptly with a delivery quote expecting from the 9th Jan - 20th, and as TODAY is the 20th a big parcel should be at my door later today or perhaps more harsh words may be needed with 'Marissa, Sales Manager'!
Still knee-deep into my Sopranos and I have to say I'm quite enjoying the soundtrack quite a few wee cheeky numbers keep grabbing my attention as the show goes on. Some Deep Purple, Some Zeppelin, Floyd and even Metallica! Yeah as an avid music fan it definitely keeps my interest when the score is as good. Can't say the same for the credits ending sometimes, lying in bed, just dosing off or whatever and BLARING is some horrible Russian rap tune or some Italiano fat wench trying to hit the brown note, not exactly the greatest lullabye I have to say!
Woke up and saw that play.com have Halford's Ressurection album REMASTERED on pre-order for a tenner, so I've got that on pre-order now it's a great wee album and satisfies me to no end a nice slab of heavy metal numbers with a bit more bite than youre classic "rock and roll" Judas Priest but it definitely deserves a spot in my collection so that's made me happy for today!
I'm in a weird music mood this morning, into all the Bruce Dickinson b'sides which for the mostpart are just a piss-around with him delving into folksy ballads and rock/pop numbers with silly lyrics but theyre a good laugh and it brings a smile to my face especially when its so piss pooring with rain out there.
Not much else is going on atm, I think I'll continue my day with a bit more Sopranos and sip on some Red Kola until the postman braves his face and hopefully I'll have some new glitzy Floyd to go on about.
Until then,
Cheers.

literally on my death bed
in case any of you were unaware there is a NASTY-ASS bug kicking around which has taken yours truly and metaphorically fucked him up the ass, for the past 4 days...11 days, I've probably slept a total of 12hrs max, I havent eaten anything my stomach feels like its destroying itself, everytime I cough or laugh it feels like midgets are kicking the back of my throat, my glands are up fuckin bullfrog style and if I could physically tear my own head off I would!
But onto happier news and 2009 revelations, in my attempt to give back to the community I love so much i.e. m'tunes, I have decided to PURCHASE thats right all you limewire fuckwads! (limewire? how '99 of me!! best not mention morpheus ;) )
At the moment I have:
the full Bruce Dickinson Discography
every *until wrath comes out* lamb of god album (thanks to the gparents and santa)
megadeth's killing is my business which trumps metallica's debut to no end, 12 of sabbath's studio albums, rush's 2112 album which could easily be one of my all-time favourite 1000 albums! A coupla king diamond albums which im lookin to trade in as theyre "2 in 1" albums and id rather have the albums seperate with their own sleeves and such, purely because im an anal-rententive bastard!
and a floyd boxset on the way! Which I'm EXPECTING in the post any minute now. Especially since the company emailed me yesterday asking for positive feedback...cheeky bastards!
so yeah already im not doing too bad ...just a FEW more to go though, but I've plenty time!
2009 is really shaping up to be one fuckin good year for music for me but and I shake at the thought!
King Diamond announced that work is being done to produce a Mercyful Fate follow up album since 1999's '9' and that itself makes me jump for joy believe me if there was anything that couldve put a smile on my face yesterday it was that and that alone!
Word is theres also plans for a double-dvd of Mercyful Fate's live performances throughout the years which sounds pretty sweet ass as well!
Megadeth seem to battling on with their new album and it sounds like all the guitar/bass tracks are done with dave now working on writing his lyrics and the drums in the middle of being recorded so thats pretty good no doubt with Obama in now theyll be something said about the fall of bush but lets hope its not all too politically saturated cause that ol' pony is really getting tiresome, not that i REALLY mind as long as the music kicks ass!
Heaven and H...BLACK SABBATH! Have been confirmed to be playing Download 09 and thats definitely a big incentive for me to get a grip and finally go to DONINGTON of all places! the once holy grail of heavy metal but I shall keep my excitement at a low with that for the moment as no doubt itll all turn from gravy to shit and theres no way im putting shit on my potatoes
In other BLACK SABBATH news it appears as if Classic Rock has already heard some of the new material and that really puts the piss in my coffee but regardless they were kind enough to leak some of the song names as...
Rock N Roll Jesus
Bible Black
Atom + Evil
Breaking Into Heaven
Double Pain
Neverwhere
Not exactly the most creative/inspirational titles but it is true to the Dio/Sabbath style to have some hard-hitting slabs of heavy metal and despite some cheesy penmanship here and there and some rock and or roll cliches I'm sure this album will stack up tall in the backcatalogue hopefully under the title 'BLACK SABBATH' eitherway my money's on that'll piss down on black rain.
On the Iron Maiden side of things in a recent FC Mag Nicko said that a new album would be out tailend summer this year but considering the band have just started a 4TH LEG on their somwhere back in time tour which I saw july last year unless theyre being pretty sneaky I dont see how we'll see a final product out in 09.
Details of Lamb Of God's latest offering WRATH have been released which is due out Feb 24th but if it leaks before then so much the better! Although I have a weary feeling that this album will be as uninspiring as 2008s lot having already heard 2 songs (Contractor/Set To Fail) which are really just 2 songs that are "going through the motions" and not really doing much to blow my mind at all...or perhaps im just a fickle bastard. Managed to pick up a copy of Ashes Of The Wake on japanese import but! (£15) Not a bad pricetag and since it comes with a bonus track; An extra nail for your coffin, I thought it was well worth the buy!
Anyway here's the tracklisting for their new album (Which I pre-ordered off play.com for £8.95!! bargain or what?! even if it's shit it's money well spent! :P)
LAMB OF GOD - WRATH
1. The Passing
2. In Your Words
3. Set To Fall
4. Contractor
5. Fake Messiah
6. Grace
7. Broken Hands
8. Dead Seeds
9. Everything To Nothing
10. Choke Sermon
11. Reclamation
12. We Die Alone (Bonus Track)
13. Shoulder Of Your God (Bonus Track)
Much like the Sabbath bunch the titles really seem to leave a lot to be desired with yer typical run of the mill sorta names but the proof is in the pudding and I'm really hoping for a tasty dessert by the time February hits my calendar, fingers crossed.
What else is going on?
TEEVEE!
LOST STARTS BACK!! That's right! THIS...I said...THIS THURSDAY AWWWW MAAAAN I CAN'T WAIT A DOUBLE EPISODE WHOPPER to get get right back into the swing of things and whispers in the wind say that the premiering episode is an episode that puts most to shame in the world of Lost now whether that's shameless hype or the word of God herself... I don't know but it definitely gets my jaw watering!
Although! I heard about some straight up fuckin bullshit related to Lost, a friend told me that she's been seeing billboards out and about that promote the new season that have been spouting spoilers about a certain major character that may or may not be alive anymore. How about that pish?! I think that's awful!! It completely ruins the excitement for anyone else who hasnt caught up yet or who may or may not be intending to watch the show in the (no pun) future!! Total crock of shit!.
It's official! PRISON BREAK HAS BEEN CANCELLED. FOX HAS FLICKED THE SWITCH ON PRISON BREAK THAT AFTER THESE UPCOMING (8) EPISODES STARTING MARCH 18TH, PRISON BREAK IS DONE DINNER. Figured that this'd be it's final season but still I've had some pretty good times with this prog and to see in black and white that it's definitely over soon is pretty gutting, despite it's complete detoriation over this season with it's predictable plot turns, horrible script, terrible acting and destruction of enjoyable characters...you still cant help but get sucked in to what little thrills it has left. Truly R.I.P. Let's hope it really does go out with a major bang that has everyone going "WOOOOOW" and takes the focus off how great Lost's season 5 will be! :P.
AMERICAN DAD IS BACK! Next week! After disappearing before Christmas a new episode
'Stan Time':
When Steve suffers indignities in school because of the back brace he must wear for his scoliosis, Stan confides in him that he wears a wig to cover his baldness. Meanwhile, Roger invites both Francine and Hayley to a posh spa even though he has only two passes, so he sneaks in Hayley in a suitcase, raising the suspicions of the house detective (voice of Forest Whitaker). Other guest voices include Jon Cryer and Niecy Nash.
Is supposedly setup to air next Sunday (ie. Monday) and I can't wait! It sounds hillarious! Whether or not this is AD back on track remains to be seen but I have to say my fingers are purple with hope!
I dunno wtf the deal is with Family Guy at all! Last episode aired mid-November and episode 'Ocean's Three And A Half' has been rumoured and kicking about since long before X-Mas and still with no sign of showing up. Although I have read that Seth MacFarlene has been working on making a 2nd Family Guy feature-length film, a musical, he said 'in vein of The Sound Of Music' but...with Family Guy, cant go wrong with Peter Griffin belting out a tune or seven so we'll see what happens with that. But keep in mind that 'The Cleveland Show' is due in the 'Fall 09' and t'me it just looks like it could be the 'black version' of Family Guy. You've got a baby, (like Stewie), teenage daughter (Meg), Cleveland Jr. grew up and got fat (Chris), stupid father (Cleveland), and a wife (Lois). Oh yeah, and an English family and a family of talking bears! :P I'm sure it'll be classic black gold.
Here's some info (wiki'd obviously):
Cleveland will officially leave Family Guy, but it has been hinted that he might return for visits occasionally.
Cleveland has kind of had enough in Quahog—he kind of realizes that he wants his own friends, his own sidekicks, his own stories. So he sets out to California to make it in a way that we'll have to keep a secret until the show starts, and then he ends up somewhere else, which we'll also keep a secret until the show starts. But he basically goes home—he goes to his hometown of Virginia and rekindles an old high school flame.
—Mike Henry (Voice of Cleveland)
Some future episode titles:
Pilot
Old Friend and New Friend and Even a Job
Da Doggone Daddy-Daughter Dinner Dance
The One About Friends
From Bed to Worse
Fields of Streams
Ladies' Night
Cleveland Jr.'s Cherry Bomb
A Brown Thanksgiving
So it all sounds good and fun, I guess will just have to wait until "The Fall" to see how it turns out and whether or not I add a new programme to the shit I find worth a watch or not!
VOLUME 4 OF HEROES: FUGITIVES starts back 2 WEEKS this tuesday isn't it scary how time flies? I was expecting a long-ass fucking haul until it's return but it's right around the corner! I wonder what to expect... Nathan's gone A-WOL and decided he's going to fuck over the heroes once again, and the President ("Obama lookalike #375") has given him approval!! :O that's not good at all! So he's gunna have them round up and shot? I dunno...what I do know is he's enlisting the help of "The Hunter" a new character that looks like he's gonna chew some bubblegum and kick ass. I saw a promo vid of Claire freaking out at the thought of Sylar who she senses to everyone's shock horror MAY STILL BE ALIVE?! because naturally that one piece of glass she put in his dome is obviously going to kill off the main baddie of the show...what an anti-climax that would be! Although with heroes I've found of recent that anti-climax's seem to be their speciality, after the pointless Eclipse episodes where only the one's who could revive died...hooray... and then they messed around with the family-tree "they are your parents/not really though" with Sylar caused him to freak out in annoyance and kill off Elle, one of the few decent female characters in the full show. I've also heard that one of the MAIN STAR CAST in heroes is now fed up with THEIR role in the show and because they didnt get enough face-time last volume has requested to be killed off by the end of this volume?!?!! My hopes are riding high on Niki/Tracy...Barbara? to be done and dusted for good but talks are also that Claire or even Hiro?! might take the walk, I wont do much more digging on that cause it'll ruin the surprise but there's definitely enough buzz for this volume now to have me very excited indeed!
ROLL ON, 2 WEEKS THIS TUES.
That's all I've got just now this blog has been about 2 weeks in the making so I hope those of you who read it (probably only Al Brown) enjoyed my rantings mostly about shit you dont even care about!
Cheers!
K-MAN.
